The One O’Clock Gun has a long history of publishing grassroots writing.
Many of our contributors appeared in print for the very first time within its illustrious pages.
Although we frequently publish ‘established’ (though never ‘establishment’) writers, our raison d’etre remains to encourage and promote VITAL new talent above all.
And our submission process is astonishingly simple:
We will consider absolutely ANYTHING of a literary or artistic bent for publication.
But, on the other hand, we make absolutely NO promises.
Here is a trio of tips from the editor however:
- The Gun will never publish anything that has been in print before, no matter how lowly the fanzine/ chapbook etc.
- For reasons of space, shorter works of prose are preferred. We like to cram as many writers into an issue as possible.
- No angst, please – misery memoirs are all very well, but we want to ENTERTAIN our readers!
We are constantly on the hunt for fresh contributors, so if y’r keen it would be damned fine to hear from you!
